![]() ![]() Any succeeding playthroughs with Simulacra will have to be played whole all over again. This game is not like the newer FMV games from Wales Interactive which has a skip or fast-forward feature. I will mark that segment in this walkthrough with a warning so we can make a back-up before proceeding any further, saving ourselves from starting a new playthrough in the event that we fall prey to this annoying bug. It is suspected that this bug triggers during the first chat with Murv at 252 (credit to Lauroots for pointing this out) going through the That Is Not A Compliment/ That Is Just A Compliment trophy path and somehow executes when having a chat with Taylor at 293. I have personally been a victim of this bug twice during my first and third playthroughs - which meant I had to do another run just to get the two missable trophies that I had missed prior. ![]() ![]() Simulacra as of this writing still has a CHAT bug which can stop the game at a certain point from progressing any further. It supposedly has an slight increase on text speed on Begin+ but actually does not make a noticeable difference in the end - it still feels like a terrible grind though the game itself is really not that long. There is no fast-forward or skip button in this game which means we would have to endure reading the dialogues all over again, find and complete every single puzzle and collectible in each new playthrough, so try aiming for just two runs to make things less tedious. Unlike the other FMV games from Wales Interactive, the autosave feature of this game can be unreliable at times and the gaps in-between checkpoints can sometimes be really far apart. It is also adamant that despite it being possible to get the remaining missable trophies on the second playthrough, going for them at the earliest possible opportunity in the first run can save us the hassle of getting them on extra playthroughs - had we been a victim of the CHAT bug. This FMV has a game breaking bug as discussed under the warning tag. Although it is possible to play around with the game saves and cram everything up in one playthrough, it would be more practical and less risky to just focus on one path at a time rather than reload a back-up save just to get all the trophies in a single Platinum run. This walkthrough will go for two (2) playthroughs which we shall coin Ashley Does Know and the Ashley Doesn't Know playthroughs.
